Risks of sulphur dioxide inhalation on serum protein level of albino rats
Abstract
Sulphur dioxide is a hydrophilic gas and is mainly absorbed in the body through the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract from where it gets further absorbed and enters into the bloodstream. In the present study, albino rats were exposed to different concentration of sulphur gas and assessed the effect on serum protein level. The findings reveal that serum protein concentration decrease significantly after 4 week exposure to 120 ppm of sulphur dioxide.
